2024 Rituals:
***please note: participants must be 16yrs or older, or continuously accompanied by an adult***
This is a ritual and an experiential workshop for the pagan and the sacred curious. In this ritual, we will participate and choose to see nature as erotic. Using mind-breath and body-magic through our senses, we will experience elemental touch, we will start with a blueberry and then breeze on our eyes to feel barks like skin, flower petals on lips for sensuality and even a cone of sound. It is my belief that what we eroticize in our minds firstly before ever connecting elsewhere. I delight in offering you this ritual as a learning and first step into this magic. Come as a solo person or as a couple or as a family, have a beginner learning mindset and be open to ancient sacred sensory care, self-care and a love for nature.
Bio:
Kiki Keskinen of WitchSchool Canada (She/Her/They) is the founder of WitchSchool Canada and one of 8 teachers that offer this year long program for mid life witches towards empowerment and leadership and activism. She is a 56yr old married Witch with a lineage from 7 generations of Celtic healers. She lives sensually to stay young and vibrant in every way. Nature enlivens her sensually through the mind, and practicing alivening our senses regularly maintains us.
Respect for local Indigenous traditions whereby she knows she is a visitor as she reside way far north east of Toronto and on the unceded Anishinabewaki ᐊᓂᔑᓈᐯᐗᑭ, Kanienʼkehá꞉ka (Mohawk) and Omàmìwininìwag (Algonquin) native lands (also referred to as the Ottawa, Ontario area in Canada) and happy to visit all on the non negotiated Mohawk lands of Tkaronto’.
Join Hellenion Spirit, a Hellenic Reconstructionist ritual community, as we celebrate Demeter and Kore and the autumn harvest. This ritual is based on ancient Greek practice, and everyone will get to participate. You do not need to speak Greek or regularly worship the Greek pantheon in order to take part.
Bio:
Melissa Gold is trained in science and classics, including Ancient Greek, Melissa has been the ritual leader for Hellenic Spirit for 14 years. Melissa has also served as a board member (Prutanis) and Director of Clergy Education for Hellenion, a Hellenic Reconstructionist organization and recognized “church” based in the United States. In August 2020, Melissa completed the Hellenion Clergy program and became a designated Theoros of Hellenion. She lives in Toronto with her husband, two younger generation family members, an orange grand kitten, and a Ukrainian family. Often she is out cycling for charity, painting rocks for her garden, and discovering slow fashion.
